What is Mindset: mental perspectives
Mindset is a stereotypical thought and belief system that can be translated as “mental perspective” or “thinking structure” in Turkish, shaping the way an individual perceives, interprets and reacts to the world. When they perform high, they attribute this success to their natural abilities; When they perform low performance, they believe that their abilities are limited. This causes them to move away from continuous development and learning opportunities. They perceive effort as an indication that they have no natural abilities.
Growth Mindset):
Individuals with a developing mental perspective think that talents can be improved by efforts, learning and experience rather than innate features. They believe that intelligence and talents can be developed continuously through effort and learning. They see difficulties as opportunities for development and learning. They consider criticism as an opportunity to improve themselves. They are open to new challenges and focus on learning and development. As a result of success, effort and determination, they see failure as an opportunity for learning and growth. They perceive effort as the key to improving their abilities and achieving their goals. They invest in constant learning and self -improvement. When they perform high, they attribute this success to efforts and determination; When they perform low performance, they need to make more effort and improve their strategies.
The effects of Mindset in different living spaces:
Mindset affects almost every area of the individual’s life. It plays an important role in many fields from academic success to business life, from relationships to sports performance.
