Main Witch Boog’s | Halloween cocktail

I’m just real creeping with you guys, I love a good themed drink and oh my pumpkin this recipe is delicious.

Ok, you’ve probably had enough of my awesome Halloween rants, but my basic Witch Boo Drink is easy to make and has activated charcoal that not only makes the drink look spooky, but also has great health benefits!

Maybe you’ve seen the charcoal trend in toothpaste or face masks, but actually using it can up your game without changing the flavor of your cocktail at all. But … why? Well (I’m sure you know where this is going) I’ll tell you!

Benefits of activated carbon

Supports kidney function

Activated charcoal binds to toxins and flushes them out of the body (mainly the work of the kidneys), so using activated charcoal can take the strain off your kidneys and help improve the function of that organ. Consider giving your kidneys a break!

Reduces cholesterol

Again, charcoal lowers cholesterol, prevents it from being absorbed by the body, and has excellent binding properties.

Hangover prevention

Activated charcoal is so effective at removing toxins that it is sometimes used as a cure for hunger pangs. Although not formally studied, taking charcoal with alcohol can lower blood alcohol levels.

Just so you know:Not all charcoal is created equal! It’s the pellets your dad used on his backyard grill. no. to do that! Make sure you are using ACTIVATED charcoal that is available in tablet or powder form.

*Health Notice*

Avoid taking medication within two hours of taking charcoal, as it may interfere with the absorption of your medication.

Now go get out of the cauldron and brew my base witch and tell me what you think!
