Halloween is almost here and you know what that means – CANDY!
It’s hard to avoid, but if you want a guilt-free Halloween experience, we’ve got the perfect recipe for you: Snicker’s Candy Bars High in HEALTHY Protein!
Why buy from a store when you can make your own?
Honestly, store-bought candy is full of sugar and artificial sweeteners, but making your own healthy candy is easier than you think!
The mini Snicker bars were my favorite, so I thought it would be fun to recreate a better version for you so you can enjoy them without the guilt (or crazy amounts of sugar!).
Step 1: Choose your base
Every great candy starts with a solid foundation. Opt for processed chocolate instead dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.
Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants and has less sugar than milk chocolate. It’s a win-win!
Step 2: Get Nuts
Now it’s time to add some crunch and protein to your candy. Choose your favorite nuts – almonds, peanuts, or cashews.
Step 3: Taste the deal
Just because we’re making healthy candy doesn’t mean we have to cut back on sweet treats.
Instead of using refined sugar, opt for natural sweeteners like honey and maple syrup.
They add sweetness without spiking your glucose and have the added benefit of vitamins and minerals.
I like it too sugar free maple syrup as a great alternative!
