Benefits of Daily Smoothies


We live in an age where technological advancements have made our lives easier than ever before.

Today, people lead fast lives, rushing to work and taking children to school, among other things. Time spent together and eating together as a family is limited, let alone cooking.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as experts often say. It activates our brain, keeps it alert throughout the day, and increases our energy to carry out our daily tasks.

Smoothies have become important these days as we eat a lot of food in just one drink, on the go. It is time-saving and easy to prepare.

All you need is a high-speed blender, your fresh produce, or frozen fruits and vegetables and you’ll have your smoothie in less than 20 minutes.

We don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables as experts recommend because of our busy schedule.

Having a cup of smoothie every morning makes a difference as you will get more of the nutrients your body needs but it doesn’t mean you have to skip other meals because they are necessary for the body to have the nutrients it needs.

Today, it is important that we maintain our immune system against various diseases. Health protection is our best defense against disease.

It is very important to take care of our bodies, and they will take care of us. By living a healthy lifestyle, we can thrive and live a full life.

A daily smoothie is the way to go, because it can be a delicious and effective way to support our body’s natural defenses and promote good health and well-being.

How Does Smoothie Benefit Our Health?

Experts always recommend that eating fruits and vegetables a day promotes health.

Vegetables are full of nutrients and nutrients phytochemicals essential and physical as antioxidants and polyphenols, among others.

These herbs are thought to boost the immune system and thus strengthen our health. When we eat fruits and vegetables in the form of a smoothie, our bodies reap the benefits and thus pave the way for better health over time.

It helps to reduce the amount of sugar when we make a smoothie.

Fiber is good for digestion and helps with bowel movements. When we drink sweetened water made from fresh produce, preferably unpeeled, this helps digestion and keeps us regular.

Fiber-rich foods are satiating, thus reducing our total calorie intake while keeping us feeling fuller for longer.

Fresh fruits and vegetables provide essential minerals and vitamins for our bodies. Vitamins E and C are found in many foods, especially citrus fruits and leafy vegetables, respectively.

These foods act as antioxidants that are thought to prevent oxidative stress and increase immunity.

Vitamin E in the form of tocopherol is found in edible vegetable oils, especially wheat germ, sunflower, and rapeseed oils. Other sources of vitamin E are green leafy vegetables such as (spinach and chard), nuts (almonds and walnuts) and walnuts, avocados, sunflower seeds, mangoes and kiwi fruits.

Three Smoothie Recipes You’ll Find Helpful

1). Beetroot Smoothie

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 minutes

4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Beetroot
  • 1 banana
  • 1 Friend
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 small piece of ginger (or 1 teaspoon grated ginger)
  • Few mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind of milk, depending on your preference)
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of ground sunflower seeds

Directions

First, wash the fruits and vegetables. Cut the beet into small pieces along with its friends, and ginger. Chop your onions too.

Put it in a blender jar, with water in the bottom and mix it together. Then add banana, mint, sunflower, and mint to the mixture and continue mixing until smooth. Finally, pour milk to add flavor and smoothness.

Voila, your Smoothie is ready to eat.

Note: You can use any fruit or add other ingredients to change up your smoothie. Too much sugar is not good for your health. It helps reduce the amount of sugar in your smoothie.

2). Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 250 milk of your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tablespoon of maca powder (optional)
  • Sprinkle the ground with cinnamon
  • 1 medjool stoned day
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • Kale/spinach
  • A tablespoon of almond butter

The way

Pour the milk into a high-speed blender, then add the flaxseeds, maca powder (if using) and cinnamon.

Add the remaining ingredients and then blitz until smooth Pour into glasses and serve.

3). Banana Cherry Smoothie

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 3 minutes

Full time: 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chopped cherries
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/4 yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract (if desired)

Instructions

Place the milk, frozen cherries, banana, and almond extract in a blender.
Place the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth. Serve immediately.

Blending has been useful because we can make a smoothie in a few minutes as opposed to the usual cooking that seems to take time especially in the morning as we rush to work.

A healthy smoothie provides our bodies with essential nutrients. It increases our energy levels and paves the way for better health in the long run.

The products lose their health if they stay for a long time even in the refrigerator. We end up throwing them away when they get old.

Eating them fresh as a dessert is a great way to eat our produce raw in the most delicious way.
