3 Guilt-Free Thanksgiving Recipes


Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start planning your menu! But who says you have to sacrifice taste for health?

These guilt-free recipes will leave you feeling good and satisfied!

Hot Aperol Spritz

This will be your new favorite holiday drink! It’s a healthier way to combine all the flavors of the holidays into one great guilt-free treat, helping you cut back on some of the added sugar without sacrificing flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 oz Aperol
  • 2 oz prosecco
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz club soda

Hot simple syrup

  • ½ cup of water
  • ½ cup monfruit sugar
  • ½ cup cranberries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 sprig of rosemary

*Boil all ingredients for about 5 minutes or until all sugar and cranberries are dissolved. Strain and store in an airtight container.

Garnish with fresh cranberries, rosemary sprigs, cinnamon sticks and orange slices

GREEN BEA CASEROLE

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the onions are slightly golden and soft.
3. Remove the onion from the pan and place it in a medium bowl. Toss with almond flour until coated and season with salt and pepper.

For Casserole
1. Boil a large pot of water and add green beans. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until slightly soft. Then quickly transfer the beans to the ice bath. Once they have cooled, remove them from the ice water and let them rest.

2. Heat the oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for about 5 minutes or until soft.
3. Add sliced ​​mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook them for another 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft.
4. Add the garlic and stir for about 1 minute, then pour the mixture into the pot with the green beans.

INGREDIENTS
With onion dressing
• 1 small onion, sliced
• 1 tablespoon of avocado oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1⁄4 cup almond flour

For Casserole
• 1 pound fresh green beans, sliced
• 1 tablespoon of avocado oil
• 1 small onion, sliced
• 8 oz. selected mushrooms, sliced
• 2 cloves of garlic, minced
• 4 tbsp organic grass-fed butter
• 1⁄4 cup gluten-free or all-purpose flour
• 2 cups unsweetened peanut milk or plain milk
• 1 cup low-sodium bone broth or vegetable broth
• Salt and pepper to taste. tasty sides

5. Melt the butter over medium heat in the pan used for the onions and mushrooms. While kneading, slowly add the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes. Slowly stir in the milk and broth and bring to a simmer. Continue to cook for 4-5 minutes until thickened. Remove the mixture from the heat, then add the green bean mixture and toss until everything is well combined.
6. Transfer everything to a medium sized pan.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the edges begin to bubble slightly.
8. Next, add the “fried” onions to the pan and cook for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Sweet Potato Rounds

INGREDIENTS
• Sweet potatoes (washed and dried)
• Asparagus
• Olive oil
• Salt and pepper
• Goat cheese

DIRECTION
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Meanwhile, slice the sweet potatoes into thin rounds and place on the baking tray with the asparagus. Toss sweet potatoes and asparagus in olive oil or avocado oil and season with salt and pepper.
2. Once the oven is up to temperature, bake the sweet potatoes and asparagus
Leave for 10-12 minutes and remove from oven.
3. Cut the asparagus into inch-long pieces and set aside.
4. Make sweet potato rounds, and after cooling, top with goat cheese and asparagus evenly.
